ProMetal® printers selectively dispense micro-droplets of specially-engineered binder into micron-thin layers of powder metal. This process creates metal and metal-ceramic tooling and parts direct from CAD data, and is capable of geometric complexity unmatched using conventional manufacturing methods. Applications such as injection molding benefit through the ability to integrate conformal cooling/heating channels into mold tools, significantly reducing the stresses placed on tools and improving molding efficiency. Direct metal-produced designs can reduce weight, integrate multi-piece assemblies, and improve material characteristics.

ProMetal RCT™ printers selectively dispense micro-droplets of foundry-grade resin into paper-thin layers of specially
engineered permeable casting media. This additive process creates complex sandcasting cores and molds direct from CAD data, eliminating the thousands-year-old requirement of a physical pattern to create a core or mold. The process produces extremely accurate, uniform cores and molds rapidly, reducing the typical lead time for metalcastings by as many as twelve months. The flexibility to modify and customize mold designs is presently used to improve casting performance, reduce casting weight, and add complexity to cast components.
